Student Recreation Center (THE REC) Expansion / Renovation
Planning and design included complete renovation the 212,000 sf building along with three additions totaling 95,000 sf. The 310,000 sf project transformed the facility, and capitalized on the dynamic views towards the Colorado Rockies.

Renovated areas include a three-court gymnasium, jogging track, natatorium, racquetball courts and, locker rooms. New spaces within the existing facility include an indoor turf gym, three court gym, group exercise rooms and multipurpose rooms. Multiple additions house a new ice arena, a weight-fitness pavilion, climbing / bouldering wall, and administration. The project also includes a new outdoor leisure pool, three rooftop tennis courts and creation of a new outdoor recreation field.
