Community Recreation Center
Planning and design of a new 55,000 sf Community Recreation Center for the Town of Flower Mound Texas. Situated in Gerault Park, the new facility was designed within an architectural context of other Town buildings - characterized as “Urban Ranch”. Large expanses of glass are utilized throughout, protected by shade canopies and extensive roof overhangs. Inside, the building is planned with extensive openness and natural light.
The new community center includes an indoor 25 yd x 25 m multipurpose pool with water slide, drop slide and tot channel; a gymnasium, fitness area, walking/jogging track, multipurpose rooms, offices and a Senior Area. A large outdoor recreational pool with beach entry, water slide, play features, fitness lap lanes and concessions area sits adjacent to the indoor pool.
